How a Roof Replacement Works, Step by Step
1. Free inspection and written estimate
We walk the roof, check the attic where we can, and photograph what we find. You get a written, itemized estimate with no obligation. If storm damage is involved, we will tell you whether we think an insurance claim makes sense before you decide anything, and we will explain our reasoning either way.
2. Scheduling and preparing your property
Once you approve the proposal, you choose a shingle line and color and we set an installation date around the weather. We do not open a roof when rain is forecast. On installation day the crew tarps landscaping and covers what is near the house. Move vehicles out of the driveway and take fragile items off the walls.
3. Tear-off and decking inspection
We remove the old roofing down to the wood decking and inspect every sheet. Soft, rotted or delaminated decking is replaced before anything goes on top of it. This is the step you cannot see from the ground, and it is the reason we do not quote a roof from a satellite photo.
4. Installing the roof system
